I've posted photos of my CNO&TP-based layout on this forum over the years, but it's time for a major update (in narrative and photographs). I've now completed my Ohio (Cincinnati) and Kentucky sections, so recent work has been in the Tennessee area. The first 3 images are "historic" in nature, so you see how things started in the area that has become the Nemo Tunnel section of the layout.
1st pic: 5-6 years ago, I created benchwork where the mainline would come out of a tunnel, immediately cross a gorge, and continue southbound (the notch in the support beam under the shelf at right will allow autorack cars and double stack units to roll easily in the final tunnel section)
2nd image: This photograph shows the forming in the Nemo Tunnel basin, for the Emory River that will be below
3rd pic: For most of the last 3-4 years, this section of the layout remained covered in white plaster . . . with a scene very similar to the B&W cover photo of TIES magazine, the November 1963 issue!
