One more summer day in western NY

The weather was rather pleasant at the end of last week- perfect for heading out to the Buffalo area.

Somebody asked me recently what my favorite RR hot spto is, and I answered Tifft Street without skipping a beat. NS lcoal H42 was there, powered by venerable SD40-2 #3561. NS has trackage rights on the eastern end of  the Buffalo Southern, and NS wasn't afraid to use it.

I returned to Tifft Street in the afternoon. The Buffalo & Pittsburgh local was working in Buffalo Creek Yard, while NS #3561 returned as a light engine mive:
