Easter came early this year, but the weather was nice. In addition to visiting family, I also spent time trackside in NY's Southern Tier region.

Day #1 was spent at or near CP Cass. NS 23K heading west around mid-day:

NS 36T eastbound nearly an hour later:

NS 37T had stacks mixed in the with mainfest freight:

Got questions? I can help you with the Erie Lackawanna (including predecessors), Lehigh Valley, Delaware & Hudson and the shortlines of upstate NY.

Day #2 was even warmer than the previous day. Due to family time, I only spent a couple of hours with NS... but they were productive.

NS 37T heading westbound:

The end of 37T had CWR flats, because NS is working on the Sputhern TIer Mainline:

NS 205 heading west:

Westbound NS light engine move, symbol unknown:

The engines were running log hood forwad, so this was the "going away' shot:

Day #3 was rainy at times, but that created some interesting lighting.

NS H85 working the yard in Gang Mills, as seen from State Route 417:

The Bath & Hammondsport RR was also running. C424M was leading the local at Eagle Valley ROad in blessing:

The B&H conductor inspected the train in Painted Post:

Ther traffic signals over Hamilton Street in Painted Post are broken , so the B&H conductor flagged the crossing:

NS also had to flag the same crossing when H85 picked up the consist left by the B&H:

RS18u #416 led the outbound B&H local next to West Chemung Street in Painted Post:
