Kentucky & Indiana Terminal RR

I only ever remember seeing a couple after I started with the railroad in the late 90's, and they were on the NS , do they still exist in some form? Perhaps repurposed for awhile after the end of hauling tobacco? Haven't seen one in well over ten years, just kinda curious about their history and possible demise.

I remember seeing them in service and I think I saw one around 1990 and remarked how unusual they were even then.  Probably gone.  While on the subject, why don't someone make a model of these.  We do not need another 40' boxcar for the love of Pete.

Thanks for posting.  Hey, Buford Shops or somebody, these things are neat looking.  They will sell!

They were used to transport tires from the Goodyear plant here in Danville, VA in the 90's.
