After taking a few months of hiatus it is time to begin the monthly photo contest again.

It seems as if just about everyone is getting snow and it is always a favorite theme this time of year, so this month's contest will be themed "snow shots". The contest will be open until midnight on the 28th.

All of the usual contest rules apply.

The Lehigh Valley Heritage unit whips up the fresh powder as it leads a very late 215 through the iced tree tunnel at Blanchet back in February of 2013


The sun has just risen, and the last bit of an overnight snowfall gives it's last hurrah as 282 roars north across the famed Eagle Creek Trestle up in Sadieville KY.

The massive rock cuts and the angle of view make the equipment look like HO scale models here.  Very neat effect!
