Motive Power on The NC RR

I'm planning a small Model RR based on Southern's operations on the NC Railroad between Greensboro, NC and Goldsboro, NC between the late '60s and the late '70s. I've looked all over and I can't find any information on the power used in the area. I know that the Carolina's were home the Alco fleet in later years. Anymore info on the motive power would be greatly appreciated.
