So . Big weekend coming up. Me and my  best friend are going railfanning  in Chattanooga, coming over from asheville nc. We have been waiting for this for a long time!  My questions are as follows.

1. is there anything cool in between asheville nc and Chattanooga?.
2. What locations are the best place to railfan? I like secluded spots, not out in the open with people watching....
3. Are there any cool  abandoned railroads?
4. Any cool model railroad  places?
